Senior Superintendent

SUMMARY

The Senior Superintendent will manage, and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination. The superintendent will work with the Project Manager, who will lead the project team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• 
  ALL aspects of creating and maintaining a safe job site.


• 
  Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.


• 
  Oversee, manage, mentor project superintendents.


• 
  Creates & maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.


• 
  Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.


• 
  Coordinate logistics while maintaining relationships with personnel, owners, etc.


• 
  Organizes and directs all self-perform work on site.


• 
  Directs all field personnel to complete the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

  Computers: Able to operate computers, send/receive e-mails, and create spreadsheets, write a letter, and build a schedule using a scheduling program.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10+ Years

QUALIFICATIONS: A demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of commercial and institutional buildings and related site work. The ability to effectively communicate both in written and spoken English words. Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry. 

EDUCATION: 4-year college degree preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand for long periods of time, Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally, ability to work required over-time to accomplish the desired team objectives & goals.
