Job Description - Senior Systems and Network Engineer- UCaaS
Overview
The Senior UCaaS Systems and Network Engineerr will be responsible for supporting multiple small to mid-sized clients with their Unified Communication as a Service IT projects, performing assessments, presenting findings and recommendations, and installing and configuring hardware and our products and services. You will work as a member of the National Unified Communications team and with the branch MITS Specialists and Engineers to keep and attract new business and provide direct support to our clients. You will be a trusted advisor to the branch, Specialists, and clients.
Responsibilities
Design, build, support and troubleshoot advanced and complex Unified Communications infrastructure and Cloud PBX server environments.
Draft complex project Statement of Work (SoW), work with Specialists to complete and present to client for feedback.
Execute projects based on detailed SoW (Statement of Work) documentation and UCaaS Discovery documents created by yourself and/or other team members.
Coordinate and leverage multiple resources on complex project SoWs.
Complete virtual solution assessments both independently and as a team.
Create findings and recommendations based on completed assessments, discuss with Specialist and present/discuss with client.
Onboard/ Offboard users, Cloud UCaaS PBX servers for UCaaS MITS products and services.
Gather data and work with Specialist on Business Reviews recommendations.
Manage projects from start to finish.
Team coordination of larger and complex client projects.
Client project time management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Work with 3 rd party vendors to: provide a complete solution; troubleshoot complex vendor-specific problems; or to coordinate migrations. (Poly, Algo, Cisco, etc)
Mentoring branch engineers in support of UCaaS deployments.
Create and maintain client documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Good organization, time management and prioritization skills.
Interact with clients, internal staff, consultants, and vendors and communicate effectively and concisely.
Obtain and maintain IT and UCaaS certifications required by company.
Enter time sheets daily for all work performed.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus
Minimum 5 year of hands-on experience managing/supporting complex project management.
Knowledge of various legacy on-premise Telecom/ PBX solutions, low voltage cabling/ punch downs, and third party devices (Music On Hold, paging, etc)
Specific experience in Unified Communications, Voice over Interne Protocol (VOIP) and Cloud based solutions a plus.
Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network systems – Cloud PBX/ UCaaS, Internet Protocol devices, and project management skills.
Experience using Microsoft Planner and Teams, Salesforce, Connectwise or other ticketing systems, and GoTo or other UCaaS Platforms a plus.
Must become certified through the UCaaS products and solutions offered within 60 days of assignment. Additional IT certifications a plus.
Experience in project management, matching client requirements to solution features and solving for enhanced business technology solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience training clients on solution features a plus.
Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization under both relaxed and stressful situations
85% remote work/ 10% on site/ 5% travel/ overnight
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to provide own reliable transportation.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is$48,225 - $77,400. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
