Job Description - Senior TA Specialist for Military Vet and SkillBridge

General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and Laser technologies.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for Military Veteran and SkillBridge/Army CSP Projects on-site in La Jolla, CA.
This position will play an integral role in identifying, driving, and coordinating initiatives to support military Veterans and the SkillBridge/Army CSP Project. A key component will be to develop relationships with military stakeholders, internal General Atomics leaders, ERG's and Human Resources staff to ensure a consistent approach toward communicating and delivering our opportunities. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist must create strong rapport with base leadership and participate in transitioning military events to educate and inform future participants of the program.
This role requires an individual who is driven to build a process that is sustainable and scalable to deliver top talent to the organization while also helping to transitioning active duty military members and Veterans translate their work experience into roles within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and project development skills to create a long-term vision and roadmap for the project's growth and success. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for effectively implementing and managing the company's authorized DoD SkillBridge/Army CSP Project, including ensuring the development of structured training plans, identifying approved work roles, identifying, and educating program mentors, offering support services, tracking metrics, and meeting program DoD reporting requirements. This role will manage the full lifecycle of SkillBridge/Army CSP participants, including outreach, placement, onboarding, check-ins during their time at the company, and off-boarding
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within the company to identify areas where there is a talent shortage that can be supplemented with military experience.

Manage the engagement model with military branches and SkillBridge/Army CSP Project partners. Serve as the escalation point, ensuring high-quality relationships while balancing the needs of partners and our organization.

Analyze various metrics (Veteran demographics, military occupations, transition preferences, etc.) to drive Project decisions and planning.

Develop tools, training plans, and standards to ensure transparency of schedules, contacts, and Project information across the organization.

Understand current military/SkillBridge/Army CSP relationships, develop and track measures of effectiveness, and make recommendations for future initiatives.

Partner with marketing teams to maximize branding and outreach efforts targeting military/Veteran audiences.

Communicate results, challenges, statistics, and successes related to Veteran recruitment and SkillBridge/Army CSP Projects.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Business Units to understand workforce plans and drive execution of Veteran/SkillBridge/Army CSP hiring.

Manage company-wide Veteran Projects, including SkillBridge/Army CSP training, activities, engagement, transition support, and ensuring a high-quality experience.

Identify approved work roles, dedicate instructors/mentors, provide support services, and meet all DoD SkillBridge/Army CSP reporting requirements.

Ensure compliance with relevant policies and processes related to military/Veteran recruitment and Projects.

Oversee the full lifecycle of SkillBridge/Army CSP participants, including outreach, placement, onboarding, regular check-ins during their time at the company, and off-boarding.

Maintain Veteran landing page and page results to report out ROI for Project attraction

Identify Key events for TA to support and participate in to deliver talent and maximize ROI

Maintain frugality and accuracy when managing budget requests to create the maximum benefit to organization.

Somone that is comfortable managing others to complete required tasks and deliverables.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and ten or more years of progressive project/program administration experience within Talent Acquisition. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Prefer ten or more years of progressive project experience within Talent Acquisition.

Military Veteran preferred with strong understanding of military branches, culture, and transition challenges.

Ability to create and present presentations to leadership using tools like Microsoft Office tools.

Deep understanding of military/Veteran landscape and relationships with key stakeholders.

Strong relationship management skills with experience engaging senior executives.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across all levels.

Proven ability to initiate, plan, and manage complex projects/Projects.

Proficiency in ATS, and Social Media platform usage.

Strong project/event management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

Results-driven with ability to deliver high-quality work amid changing priorities.

Self-motivated with desire to continuously build expertise in Veteran/SkillBridge/Army CSP projects.

Ability to work independently and travel frequently as required.

Salary:

$98,100 - $171,398
