MTSI is looking for a talented Senior Target Performance Analyst to join our team! In this role you will provide technical and advisory assistance to the MDA Targets and Countermeasures program in solid fuel debris model development and validation, pre-flight and post-flight trajectory analysis, and on-site mission support.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests
Develop and sustain RF/IR analytical tools and techniques
Produce representative signatures of systems under test
Deliver signature data packages to mission partners for all relevant missile flight tests including large Monte Carlo predictive datasets and highly detailed datasets based on actual sensor returns and reporting
Plan test activities and provide recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities
Contribute to development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes
Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick-look Brief, and Target Launch Time within required 24-hour (quick-look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products
Participate in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations
Prepare technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree with 12+ years of experience or bachelor’s degree with 20+ years’ experience
Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
Experience in a minimum of 2 of the following areas: Trajectory/kinematic simulation, EO/IR sensor exploitation, RF sensor exploitation, geodesy
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems
Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Skilled in use of Matlab, and TAOS software
Familiar with STK software
Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems, or hypersonic weapons
Experience with automation and scripting
Experience with modeling and simulation best practices
B.S. in Engineering or Physics or M.S. in Engineering or Physics
