Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking an exceptional tax accountant to join our client's growing firm. The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant role is highly organized, detail-oriented, and a team player. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for performing tax accounting functions related to private equity funds. This person will work as an integral part of our finance and accounting team in the Chicago headquarters on Michigan Avenue and will report to the Vice President of Tax.

Responsibilities:
Prepare taxable income calculations, including book-to-tax differences, for all entities
Prepare taxable income allocations at the investor/partner level
Prepare quarterly income tax provisions as needed for financial reporting purposes
Assist with international tax reporting (FATCA/CRS)
Review tax returns and K-1s prepared by service providers
Coordinate the distribution of necessary tax forms and supporting schedules to investors/partners
Research tax issues
Work on tax ad hoc projects as needed
Assist with the financial audit
Collaborate with the accounting team on overlapping matters
Interact with the investment teams on tax accounting matters as needed

Job Requirements:
Technical knowledge of tax preparation and compliance related to pass-through entities
Corporate tax exposure is a plus
Basic understanding of carried interest and targeted capital accounts
Undergraduate degree in accounting with an active/current CPA license or actively pursuing CPA license (highly preferred)
2-3 years of experience
Big 4 and Private Equity experience preferred
Must be willing to work in-office.
