Senior Tax Advisor (Senior Tax Accountant) Local to Greenville, SC

This open position is for a Senior Tax Advisor (Senior Tax Accountant) with at least 3 years of experience in a public accounting or CPA firm. In this role, you'll handle complex individual and corporate tax returns and help review work prepared by junior staff.

We’re looking for a local candidate (Greenville, SC) with strong tax expertise, a Master’s in Accounting or EA Certificate, and ideally working toward CPA licensure. You should be confident in making decisions and spotting tax planning opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare more complex income tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040 (schedule C & E)) 
• Prepare and Participate with Client annual tax planning and projections. 
• Resolve tax notices from government agencies 
• Review basic tax returns
• Demonstrate an excellent knowledge base of pertinent IRC sections and regulations
• Possess a strong proficiency in tax research
• Support clients and team members with stellar relationships and communication skills
• Assist manager in the training of tax staff accountants on client deliverables, firm processes, and technical skills 

• Master’s degree in the accounting field of study or EA Certificate required
• CPA certification or working toward exam completion/experience required for licensure, preferred
• Three to five years of experience as a tax accountant in the public accounting industry required
• Proficient in Business Accounting
• Must have Business tax returns experience, some equity/ownership transfer experience desired
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills 
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Dedicated to superior client service
