Senior Tax Analyst Indirect Taxes

• Prepare and review state and local sales/use tax returns for multiple operating business units, ensuring timely and accurate filing. 
• Assist in coordination and management of sales/use tax audits and work closely with division personnel and taxing authorities to achieve lowest tax liability permissible.
• Prepare and file personal property tax returns for major plant facilities and sales offices in assigned states
• Provide legal research, consultation, and opinions regarding sales/use tax issues to the operating divisions.
• Provide guidance to operations, accounts payable and other cross functional teams to ensure proper taxability on purchases and adherence to sales and use tax laws.
• Work with IT and tax team to transform data and automate processes related to the sales and use tax compliance.
• Serve as the focal point for coordinating system testing related to Oracle and Vertex patches, enhancements, and upgrades. 
• Prepare and provide sales tax training presentations for operating personnel.
• Other miscellaneous sale and use tax responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining Vertex taxability matrix, responding to sales tax notices and customer requests for sales tax refunds.
   

• Bachelor of Science/Arts in Accounting, Finance or Business required

• Minimum 3 years with public accounting and/or large corporation with multi-divisional, multi-state and multi-national structure

• CPA or CMI preferred
• Knowledge of Vertex is a plus

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
