Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review and approve complex individual, partnership, S-corp, and C-corp tax returns
• Oversee tax examinations and represent clients before tax authorities
• Act as a subject matter expert and client liaison
• Supervise and mentor tax preparers and junior staff
• Manage the flow and accuracy of tax return processing
• Participate in business development and client service initiatives
• Evaluate and recommend tax preparation and research software
• Prepare reports and assist with special projects

Job Requirements:

• 7–10 years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity
• 2+ years representing clients before taxing authorities
• 1+ year supervising tax staff
• CPA license required and must be in good standing with AICPA
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, master’s in taxation is preferred
• Commitment to 40+ hours of annual continuing education
• Knowledge of current tax laws and advanced tax software proficiency
• Ability to handle 55+ hours/week during tax season is required
