Job Description - Senior Team Lead, Professional Charge Entry

Location: On-Site in Bedford, MA

This Role:
Manage manual entry and billing processes and address exceptions and issues encountered with charge posting to ensure that billing is processed timely and client expectations are met. Provide oversight, support and training to team leads and charge entry clerks doing similar work

Key Responsibilities:

Manage review of the charge batch import production log
- Communicate issues to appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Audit integrity of data reported and assist with re-direction and/or re-education
Provide supervision and assistance to Data Analyst
- Ensure appropriate actions have been taken and responses are returned timely
- Identify trends and/or opportunities for improvement
Oversee and manage Validations
- Ensure validations are addressed timely and escalated to appropriate stakeholders
- Audit integrity of data reported and identify trends or opportunities for improvement and/or reeducation
Assist with HL7 testing and implementing new clients as directed
Manage ICER pending/task report and manual registration requests received via Pending Demo workflow
- Identify and escalate issues or trends to appropriate stakeholders
Assign work to staff in supervisors’ absence
Coordinate training and educating staff on client workflows and processes
Report any staff/production issues to Manager
Maintain client system access as applicable
Communicate any technical issue or client system access problem timely and appropriately
Assist with projects or department tasks as needed
Audit integrity of data entered in client systems and billing software and identify errors
Keep reference of established entry process guidelines and workflow processes
Maintain a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prior experience with 10-key data entry and strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word) and internet software required.
Previous Charge Entry Clerk experience
Ability to work weekends
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Ability to work well in a team
Possess a strong attention to detail
Ability to add, to subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Preferred:

One to two years related experience, prior supervisory experience preferred
