Senior Technical Operations Lead Digital Signage & AV

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient leader to oversee the deployment,

maintenance, and operational health of large-scale digital signage and audio-visual (AV)

projects. This hybrid role bridges the gap between field execution and technical project

management, serving as the primary resource for national brand accounts. You will lead on-site

deployments, conduct technical site surveys, and provide remote support to ensure complex

hardware installations—from interactive kiosks to large-scale video walls—are executed with

precision.

Key Responsibilities

 - Field Leadership & Installation: Lead high-stakes on-site technical visits and physical

installations of digital menu boards, kiosks, and multi-screen arrays.

 - Remote Technical Support: Perform remote diagnostics, system reboots, and

troubleshooting of PC-based signage players to minimize downtime.

 - Site Readiness & Surveys: Conduct comprehensive pre-installation surveys to identify

structural requirements, including mounting reinforcements (Unistrut), power needs, and

cabling paths.

 - Quality Assurance & Compliance: Audit field deliverables and complete & close-out

documentation, including installation photos and system verification videos, to ensure

brand standards are met.

 - Incident & Resource Management: Develop technical Statements of Work (SOW),

source necessary hardware components, and manage logistics for field-level fixes.

 - Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact for General

Contractors and site managers to coordinate facility access and ensure minimal

operational disruption.

 - Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware manufacturers to

resolve warranty claims and assist internal teams in improving communication workflows.

 - Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement AI-driven tools to automate the

synthesis of site survey data and streamline the generation of technical Statements of

Work (SOW).

 - Automated Reporting: Leverage AI assistants to help categorize and summarize close-out 

documentation to ensure rapid compliance and clear project visibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 - Advanced Technical Expertise: Proven ability to diagnose and repair commercial

displays (LG, Samsung), media players, and PC-based signage controllers.

 - Hardware & Networking: Deep understanding of signal flow, low-voltage cabling (Cat6,

HDMI, RS232), and remote management software.

 - Operational Agility: Ability to pivot quickly between remote troubleshooting and on-site

field coordination in high-pressure environments.

 - Professional Communication: Skill in translating technical field talk into clear updates

for non-technical stakeholders and remote project managers.

 - AI Literacy: Proficiency in using Large Language Models (LLMs) to draft professional

updates and assist in rapid technical problem-solving or basic script generation.

Preferred Experience

The following experience is highly desirable for this role:

Target Experience: AI Integration & Specific Skills

Industry Tenure: 3–5+ years in field service, technical support, or

lead technician roles within AV/Digital Signage.

Project Management: Experience managing national rollouts for retail,

QSR, banking, or cinema sectors using AI for

timeline tracking.

Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA

CTS) or specialized manufacturer training.

Content Management: Familiarity with AI-enhanced Content

Management Systems (CMS)

Administrative Automation - Experience using AI tools to automate repetitive

administrative tasks and resource allocation.
