Senior Technical SEO & AEO Manager

The Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein, P.C. is seeking an experienced Senior Technical SEO & AEO Manager to lead our website's technical performance, organic search strategy, and visibility across traditional and AI-powered search platforms. 

Our website is built on WordPress, hosted on AWS, and utilizes Cloudflare for performance and security. We are looking for a strategic, technically skilled professional who can independently audit, optimize, and improve our website. 

This is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate must be able to identify technical issues, develop solutions, and personally implement improvements—not simply provide recommendations to outside developers or agencies. 

Key Responsibilities 

Technical SEO & Website Development 

• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and independently implement fixes and improvements. 

• Manage and optimize our WordPress website, including themes, plugins, templates, and site functionality. 

• Troubleshoot technical issues involving WordPress, AWS hosting, Cloudflare, caching, and website performance. 

• Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, crawlability, and indexing. 

• Resolve broken links, redirects, duplicate content, canonicalization issues, structured data errors, and technical SEO issues. 

• Maintain website health and coordinate secure updates, testing, and deployments. 

SEO, AI Search & AEO/GEO Strategy 

• Develop and execute a comprehensive organic search strategy across our immigration and personal injury practice areas. 


• Lead Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives to improve visibility across Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and emerging AI-powered search platforms

• Identify high-value conversational search queries and legal questions that present opportunities for AI-generated answers, citations, and traditional organic traffic. 

• Develop strategies to strengthen the firm's topical authority, attorney expertise, credibility, and online presence. 

Content Strategy & Website Optimization 

• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap assessments to identify organic growth opportunities. 

• Recommend new practice-area pages, landing pages, FAQs, articles, and educational resources based on search demand and business value. 

• Perform comprehensive website content audits and identify pages to update, consolidate, redirect, restructure, or remove. 

• Improve website navigation, URL hierarchy, internal linking, and overall content organization. 

• Collaborate with the marketing and legal teams to develop authoritative, accurate, search-optimized content. 


• Identify opportunities to repurpose existing video and educational content to increase organic visibility. 

Required Qualifications 

• 5–8+ years of professional SEO experience, including advanced technical SEO expertise. 

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience, with demonstrated ability to independently implement technical changes. 

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress architecture. 

• Experience with AWS hosting environments and Cloudflare, including caching, performance optimization, CDN configuration, and troubleshooting. 

• Advanced knowledge of crawling, indexing, structured data, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO best practices. 


• Experience with content strategy, keyword research, competitor analysis, and large-scale website optimization. 

• Proven ability to independently manage technical projects from diagnosis through implementation, testing, and performance evaluation.
