About the Role


We are seeking a Senior Technical Talent Partner. As a key member of the team, you'll act as the strategic engine behind our engineering and product growth—serving as a talent consultant to leadership and the primary architect of a world-class candidate experience. You'll report to the Head of Talent Acquisition and own the entire hiring funnel. We have an extraordinarily high bar, and pipeline volume means nothing if we're not closing exceptional people.


What You’ll Do



  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for complex technical roles, focusing on sourcing and engaging the top 1% of talent who aren't active on job boards.

  • Build deep knowledge of our stack and challenges so you can have credible, substantive conversations with Staff and Principal level talent about distributed systems, real-time marketplaces, and scaling consumer products.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to engineering leads—providing market intelligence, pressure-testing role definitions, and facilitating rigorous calibration sessions.

  • Represent Arena Club at recruiting events, engineering meetups, and industry conferences, cultivating relationships before roles even open.

  • Drive interview processes that surface the right signals to make strong hiring decisions—rigorous, fast, and designed to assess for excellence.

  • Track and analyze funnel metrics—source effectiveness, pass-through rates, time-to-fill, offer acceptance—and use insights to continuously improve outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, build repeatable systems, and create leverage as we grow.

  • Embrace AI and new recruiting tools. We constantly experiment with technology to work smarter and faster—you should be eager to do the same.


Who You Are


You're a talent hunter with a founder's mindset. You map markets, identify the best people, and pursue them relentlessly. You have genuine technical curiosity and experience in high-growth environments where speed and quality were both expected. You take personal pride in every hire you close.


Qualifications



  • 6+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting in high-growth startups (Series A through IPO).

  • Proven success closing Senior, Staff, and Principal-level engineers in competitive markets.

  • Deep sourcing skills—you've built pipelines where traditional channels don't work.

  • Technical fluency that earns credibility with engineering leaders.

  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers as a strategic advisor, not an order-taker.

  • Analytical mindset—you track funnel metrics and use data to improve outcomes.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to sell a vision to passive candidates.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience recruiting for marketplace, fintech, or gaming platforms.

  • Deep proficiency with modern talent and AI stacks (Greenhouse, ModernLoop, Claude, Metaview, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gemini).

  • A robust existing network within the elite engineering communities.


Location Requirements



  • Hybrid in LA

  • Remote with travel to LA
