Senior Technical Writer

The Senior-Level Technical Writing Support IAMD (SAWS) position provides specialized technical writing and graphics development support for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) programs. This key personnel role supports the Commander Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center Subject Matter Expert Contract, focusing on developing high-quality graphics, presentations, and doctrine/tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) materials.

Essential Functions

• Develop high quality graphics for presentations related to IAMD programs
• Create and maintain technical documentation using Adobe software suite
• Teach or develop Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) or IAMD related doctrine
• Develop tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) for IAMD systems
• Support technical writing requirements for naval surface and mine warfighting development
• Maintain proficiency with industry-standard graphics and design software applications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

• At least 5 years of recent experience developing high-quality graphics for presentations
• At least 5 years of recent experience, either teaching or developing BMD or IAMD-related doctrine or tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP)

Required Skills:

• At least 5 years of recent proficiency with Adobe software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premiere or equivalent computer programs

Security Clearance: Must possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and be TS//SCI eligible

Citizenship: U.S. Citizen

Travel Requirements: Moderate travel requirements

Physical Requirements: Standard office environment physical requirements for computer-based work, including graphics development and presentation creation.
