Senior Technical Writer

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to work on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Huntsville, AL. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Works independently to gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.


• Works with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revises and edits, and recommends the best solution for data compilation, as well as centralized storage.


• Researches, creates, and maintains information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy migration.


• Develops content in alternative media formats for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.


• Ensures that published documents follow the style laid out in the organization’s style guide.


• Maintains the style guide and suggests revisions to the style guide.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance.


• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.


• Proven experience gathering information from subject matter experts and translating complex material into clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with established style guides and organizational standards.


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality across all deliverables.
