Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the execution of reconditioning low and medium voltage power circuit breakers. The reconditioning process consists of disassembly of the power circuit breaker, parts cleaning, reassembly and final inspection and both mechanical and electrical testing. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $47000 - $69000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \n\u2981 Maintain a Zero Safety Incident Culture while adhering to the Life Saving Rules of Eaton \n\u2981 Maintain 5S and housekeeping to prevent any safety concerns \n\u2981 Follow written and oral instructions, adhering to all company policies and procedures \n\u2981 Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report any unsafe acts or conditions immediately to management \n\u2981 Complete assigned projects safely within promised lead times, at or under budget, and within quality expectations; possess adaptability to changing conditions. \n\u2981 Receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader, and report any problems to the leader. \n\u2981 Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects. \n\u2981 Ability to read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting. \n\u2981 Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned. \n\u2981 Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed. \n\u2981 Demonstrate strong electrical and mechanical ability, good organizational skills, and good work habits with a proactive work ethic in a team environment. \n\u2981 Develop vendor relationships to assist with material specifications, quality control, purchasing, and delivery. \n\u2981 Responsible for full compliance with EESS safety policies; maintain a safe and clean workplace and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent GED \n\u2022 Must reside within a 60 mile radius of Greenwood SC to be considered for the position; no relocation benefit provide \n\u2981 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\n \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \n\u2022 Associate\u2019s Degree in electro-mechanical discipline or prior military experience. \n\u2022 2-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation technology.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPOSITION CRITERIA: \n\u2022 Ability to work overtime on short notice \n\u2022 Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials. \n\u2022 Strong interpersonal skills with heavy emphasis on good communication skills (Oral and written) \n\u2022 Strong mathematical skills \n\u2022 Computer skills surrounding Microsoft Office suite, Oracle and Planner \n\u2022 Excellent problem solving skills with a strong sense of urgency \n\u2022 Position requires high level of concentration and close attention to details \n\u2022 Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs, unassisted and throughout the day as needed \n\u2022 Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling \n\u2022 Requirement to train and qualify for power industrial truck (forklift) license\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
