The
Senior Thermal Systems Engineer
will work
onsite
in
Charlotte NC
.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of chiller systems, i.e., component selection, system integration, and performance optimization
Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and environments
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, i.e., product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams, to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
Support product testing and validation activities, analyze test results and implement design improvements
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in thermal systems engineering, apply knowledge to drive innovation and maintain Carrier's competitive edge
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3 + years of experience in thermal systems design
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in mechanical engineering or thermal engineering with a focus on chiller systems
PhD
Experience in thermodynamics (cycle analysis and modeling - handwritten codes or commercial software), fluid dynamics, heat transfer principles, and refrigeration cycles
Experience with product development processes, concept design to production release
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Track record of delivering high-quality results on schedule
Effective English communication skills
Convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
