Position Overview

As Senior Transportation Project Manager, you'll drive the successful delivery of complex transportation projects while leading multi-disciplinary teams and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to create sustainable transportation solutions that enhance community mobility.

Core Responsibilities

• Spearhead transportation design projects from conception through completion
• Lead technical design of roadways, roundabouts, and interchange systems
• Manage project budgets ranging from $1M to $20M+
• Direct and mentor engineering teams while ensuring quality deliverables
• Serve as primary client liaison and relationship manager
• Navigate Caltrans processes and regulatory requirements
• Drive business development initiatives and proposal creation
• Ensure project compliance with safety and environmental standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Proven expertise in roadway design and traffic solutions
• Strong track record of successful project delivery
• Excellence in team leadership and client communication
