Job Description - Senior Travel Consultant


Job Summary:

Our client, who is in the travel and tourism industry, is seeking a Senior Travel Consultant to join their dynamic team. The Senior Travel Consultant will be responsible for managing complex travel arrangements for corporate clients, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and policy-compliant solutions. This includes handling ticketing, reissuance, refunds, and itinerary planning across international and domestic routes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, fluent in GDS systems, and capable of handling high-volume, fast-paced demands with professionalism and accuracy.



Responsibilities:



  • Manage and execute end-to-end corporate travel bookings, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and visa support when required.


  • Use Galileo GDS efficiently for ticket issuance, reissuance, revalidation, cancellations, and refunds.


  • Offer accurate fare quotes and itinerary options aligned with company travel policies and client preferences.


  • Ensure all bookings are cost-effective, compliant with travel policies, and delivered within required timeframes.


  • Communicate proactively with clients to confirm bookings, provide travel updates, and resolve any changes or disruptions.


  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international and domestic travel regulations, including IATA standards and airline policies.


  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients by delivering outstanding customer service and tailored travel solutions.


  • Collaborate with internal finance and administrative teams for invoicing and documentation processes.


  • Stay informed about global travel trends, GDS system updates, and travel advisories.







Requirements



  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Travel Consultant in a reputable travel agency.


  • Expert-level proficiency in Galileo GDS is essential.


  • Strong understanding of international and domestic airfare construction, IATA rules, and airline regulations.


  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).


  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.


  • Professional demeanour with a service-oriented attitude and a sense of urgency.
