Aon is looking for a Broker III - Senior Vice President - Financial Services Group (FSG)Location: HoustonYou are a multifaceted insurance professional in search of a team and environment where your talents will be appreciated and developed. You thrive on traveling, being in front of clients and getting deals done. We are an established and rapidly growing specialty broking team based in Houston. We have a top-shelf roster of long-term clients who are accustomed to receiving exceptional customer service and work product. We are currently hiring for a Broker III - SVP to lead our team.Responsibilities:Assess, understand and explain the management and professional liability exposures of financial institution clientsCraft and build management and professional liability risk transfer solutionsCompare and explain differences in insurer policy formsNegotiate market-leading insurance policy terms and conditions with underwritersDevelop and manage professional relationships with clients and underwritersCollaborate with internal colleagues to timely deliver professional work productStay current and present to clients on insurance market participants, developments, trends and underwriting practicesParticipate as needed in unscheduled client matters including claim consultation, noticing and resolution; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; and initial public offeringsManage an assigned book of client accountsParticipate in new business development opportunitiesRequired Skills and Experience:15 years of commercial insurance, risk management and/or legal experienceBachelor’s degreeAcquire and/or maintain appropriate property & casualty insurance producer license(s)Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of productsWillingness and ability to travelEffective oral presentation and written communication abilityAbility to methodically work through a project-plan and meet immovable deadlinesAttention to detail and ability to multi-taskExperience working in a team environmentPreferred Skills and Experience: 10 years of management and professional liability brokerage and/or underwriting experienceInsurance, risk management, legal and/or finance-related degreeWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
