We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice-President/Counsel to join our North America Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations Team in our Legal Department.. This role is located in New York, NY, Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. The role is hybrid but requires a commitment of in-office work 3-days per week. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Conduct significant legal internal investigations Handle a broad range of inquiries and regulatory/criminal enforcement matters originated by various regulatory, government, and law enforcement agencies Manage outside counsel Identify, assess, and mitigate potential legal and regulatory risks Provide advice regarding, and develop strategies for dealing with, matters that involve potential reputational, regulatory, or financial exposure to the company Coordinate with various internal stakeholders and business lines To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: You must be a licensed attorney admitted to practice in New York State, Pennsylvania and/or Florida A minimum of 5-7 years' experience handling regulatory enforcement matters is required Demonstrated experience and comfort in cross-border investigations and enforcement is preferred. Strong written and oral presentation skills Ability to work proactively on a myriad of diverse matters (often at the same time). At BNY, our culture speaks for itself. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $113,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
