Senior Vice President, Investment Strategist

Serves as the primary contact for larger and more complex institutional clients, prospects and consultants.. Provides ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific products in specific asset classes. Create models/thesis/insights to help shape strategy and portfolio construction. Participates in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers. Is a driver in developing new products. Generates and implements investment ideas and solutions for specific strategies, with the goal of contributing to investment results. In some regions, may serve as the primary interface for jurisdictional/ regulatory matters and may have entity governance responsibilities. Demonstrates a degree of technical acumen specifically around general investment concepts such as asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk budgeting, asset-liability management, derivatives usage and implementation, trading, and risk management.MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.5-7 years of total work experience preferred and 5 years or more of investment experience preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
