About the Role
The Life Sciences Team Lead is a senior role with a primary focus on originating and managing the company's coverage and expansion efforts within the life sciences industry, particularly for disruptor clients. This involves leading and managing integrated sales and relationship programs, driving client-centric solutions, and achieving substantial growth targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing industry insights and knowledge both externally to clients and internally to leadership and other partners. A strong understanding of the emerging-growth healthcare and life sciences industry, as well as the competition in the financial services space, is essential. The role also includes full management responsibility for a growing team, with a strong emphasis on talent management and development.Candidates for this position should have at least 10 years of commercial banking experience and a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field. In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, derivatives, syndicated and bilateral loans, and capital markets issuances, is required. The role demands a strategic and innovative approach to business development, with a focus on creating long-term client relationships and a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to engage with senior management and work effectively in a team setting. The candidate should also have advanced credit skills and the ability to obtain or hold FINRA Series 79, 63, and SIE qualifications.
