About the Role
The SVP is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing all aspects of scripted and unscripted domestic and international production. This includes leading a team that produces a variety of content, coordinating with finance on departmental and individual show budgets, exploring new finance models, and working with creative and business partners to discover and partner on different forms of distribution and production. The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying and building relationships with production partners, crews, and locations to take advantage of various incentives and tax credits. Additionally, the role involves establishing new production models to minimize spending, ensuring all productions are delivered on time and within budget, and managing the overall production approach and strategy in consultation with the EVP of Programming.Applicants for the SVP position should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in content production, with at least 5 years in a senior production leadership role. The role requires a proven track record of delivering high-quality content across various content areas and excellent relationships within the creative community and the industry. The ideal candidate will be business-minded, strategic, creative, and organized, with the ability to mentor and lead a team, conduct departmental meetings, and participate in the leadership of the Programming team. Strong collaboration skills, a positive outlook, and the ability to influence and persuade are essential, as is a passion for producing content that resonates with consumers.
