About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP, Operational Risk Oversight to lead the 2nd Line of Defense team responsible for independent oversight of operational risks, including supplier management, information security, IT, and data privacy. The successful candidate will manage a team of operational risk experts, establish strategies for overseeing new and existing risks in technology platforms, and build strong relationships with the 1st Line of Defense Management Team. This role involves enhancing risk appetite statement limits, managing the operational risk program, maintaining the operational risk framework, and partnering with key control functions to define a coordinated approach for operational risk oversight. The SVP will also lead the RCSA program, own the operational risk assessment program, and provide relevant risk updates to the Risk Committee of the Board.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant program or management experience, or a minimum of 15 years' experience in the absence of a degree. Proven experience in managing organizations and at least 5 years of direct managerial responsibility are required. Desired characteristics include prior formal IT functional experience, leadership experience with senior management interaction, and a proven track record of leading complex, large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. The role demands a problem solver with a strategic mindset, capable of influencing and communicating at all levels across the business. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is a prerequisite, and the candidate must be willing to undergo a background check and drug test.
