WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Senior WordPress developer at SPARK, you’ll create and maintain functional and elegant new and existing websites developed in WordPress for our amazing clients.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, primarily in WordPress. On any given day, you might be building new websites, architecting new themes and plugins for our clients, updating plugins, theme,s and languages to ensure continued functionality, writing webhooks and API calls, updating integrated systems, and seeing changes through to completion in a live environment. 

You will work in a collaborative team environment with marketing managers, account managers, editorial managers, and designers throughout the entire project lifecycle to execute and launch websites for clients. You will be a valued contributor on the marketing services team. 

Some travel may occasionally be required to meet with clients and project teams.

• Design and develop clean, maintainable, and testable pages to create functional WordPress sites.
•  Troubleshoot and debug WordPress sites. 
• Perform website audits and creative planning. 
• Assist in the assessment and scope determination of new projects and phases. 
• Transfer and deploy websites. 
• Execute hosting audit review and fix discovered issues. 
• Implement analytics stacks and SEO. 
• Ensure optimal site performance & scaling. 
• Gather and address technical and design requirements. 
• Provide training and support to internal teams. 
• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and product owners to identify new features. 

WHAT YOU NEED

• 10+ years of recent relevant experience.
• Experience in a marketing agency environment working concurrently on multiple highly diversified and varied projects. 
• Exceptional background using WordPress and Elementor Pro, common industry plugins, and related tools. 
• Extensive experience creating and modifying custom HTML and CSS themes for bespoke site design and feature implementation. 
• Experience creating custom WordPress themes and/or plugins. 
• Familiarity with WordPress REST API.
• Knowledge of securing WordPress installations and adhering to best practices. 
• A solid understanding of PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, as it relates to WordPress. 
• Strong familiarity with SEO and Page Speed optimization tools. 
• Solid work ethic and willingness to “go above and beyond,” bringing a passionate and positive approach to delivering results and encouraging teamwork. 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to communicate with web developers and designers. 
• Large capacity for attention to detail. 
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals without management oversight.

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of, and experience with, WP Engine and cPanel.
• Knowledge of, and experience with, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console.
• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields. 
• Experience with WordPress Multisite setups. 
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming principles. 
• Capable of translating designs for existing pages into new pages. 
• Experience managing multiple tasks/projects in an agency environment. 
• Ability to lead inside sales with the best interest of the client. 
• Experience in business strategy and solutions. 
• Ability to work with leadership to align on sales and marketing strategies and solutions.

SALARY RANGE

₹6,70,000 - ₹14,00,000 annually
