Senior/Lead Estimator

Above all else, your role is to lead a team effort with expert construction, pre-construction, and estimating skills to grow revenue to meet or exceed our profit goals while achieving best-in-class customer loyalty scores.

Position Summary: The Senior/Lead Estimator is a position dedicated to continuously improving overall revenue generation efficiency (sales/estimating). The Estimator is responsible for strategy, estimating systems, conceptual budgets, and people to convert leads to predictable revenue growth. The Estimator reports and works directly with the Estimating Manager to maximize our network and connect us to the best work. Strong background in pre-construction services and preliminary estimating is essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.    Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine scope and cost impact.

2.    Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using digital tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).

3.    Solicit, scope, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.

4.    Build conceptual and hard bid estimates across multiple project types.

5.    Track bid performance, hit rate, and contribute to ongoing estimating process improvement.

6.    Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, architects, and clients.

7.    Identify, qualify, and win high quality and high profitability commercial construction projects.

Immediate Supervisor: This position reports to the Estimating Manager.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

1.    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

2.    7+ years of construction estimating experience.

3.    Understanding and proficiency in Windows/MS Office, and MS Project.
