This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, or Test Facilities.\n\nThis position will be located in Roy, UT.\n\nSpecific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:\n\n\u2022 Responsible for overseeing and coordinating architectural design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.\n\n\u2022 Subject matter expert supporting the architecture of complex, modular structures.\n\n\u2022 Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.\n\n\u2022 Participate in project design/model reviews.\n\n\u2022 Review subcontractors design product quality/accuracy by reviewing architectural drawings and specifications and validating that current standards are applied and integrated into the design solution.\n\n\u2022 Support the delivery of Architectural drawings within Technical Data Packages (TDP), Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.\n\n\u2022 Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues\n\n\u2022 Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline.\n\n\u2022 Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.\n\n\u2022 Developing and maturing Architectural designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 5 years.\n * Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).\n * Design Architect: Bachelor\u0027s degree in architecture with 2 years\u2019 of related experience; 0 years\u2019 experience with a Master\u2019s degree.\n * Principal Design Architect: Bachelors degree in architecture, plus 5 years of related experience; or Master\u0027s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 years of experience.\n * Fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture.\n * Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.\n * Performs analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.\n * Prepare project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.\n * Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.\n * Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client\u2019s needs.\n * Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs.\n * Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.\n * May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Proficient writer and able to verbally communicate technical content\n * Exposure to weapons system program requirements\n * TeamCenter CPLM experience\n * Experience with ICD-705, Uniform Facility Criteria, Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications\n * Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of a technical baseline.\n * Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.\n * Developing and maturing facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements and other applicable codes and regulations.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
