This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel Program. \"This req may be filled as a \u003clower level\u003e or \u003chigher level\u003e.\"\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\nDesign, develop, document, test, and debug software/system applications. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of embedded systems for safety and mission critical software. Must be able to work and collaborate with a team of software engineers in an Agile environment to meet critical milestones. Ensure program mandated software standards and compliance criteria are met. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 T2 Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 2 years of related experience, or Master\u2019s degree in STEM with 0 years of related experience.\n\n\u2022 T3 Principal Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 5 years of related experience, or Master\u2019s degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience, or PhD in STEM with 1 year of related experience.\n\n\u2022 Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.\n\n\u2022 US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)\n\n\u2022 1+ year experience in developing software/writing code in C/C++/C#, Python, Java, or similar programming language\n\n\u2022 1+ year experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns\n\n\u2022 1+ year of life cycle of software development and Agile software development\n\n\u2022 1+ year experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Git, Confluence)\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering using Cameo\n\n\u2022 Experience with IBM Rational tool suite (DOORS)\n\n\u2022 Experience developing ICDs and defining interfaces in an MBSE environment\n\n\u2022 Familiarity with CSSAM / RVAM Governance\n\n\u2022 Experience developing software for a hard real time system or hardware devices\n\n\u2022 Experience developing or debugging software targeted for an embedded system\n\n#GNC2026\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
