This position is located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\nThe Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Human Factors Engineer (HFE) to join the team supporting activities including human modeling simulations, mock-up evaluations, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification \u0026 validation, and HFE formal test.\n\nThe selected candidate\u2019s job responsibilities include:\n\n * Reviewing design documentation\n * Providing hardware and software interface design/development support\n * Analyses and collaboration to facilitate equipment selection, design and arrangement; conducting research with users\n * Checking compliance with MIL-STD-1472G\n * Collaborating across IPTs, and coordination with the customer and user community\n\n\n\nSpecific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:\n\n * Human Factors Analyses (including, but not limited to): task analyses, predictive workload analyses, interface prototyping and analysis, and design-for-maintainability (DFM) analysis\n * Checking design compliance against MIL-STD-1472G\n * Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nThis requisition may be filled at either the Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Engineer level (T-03).\n\nRequired for Both Levels:\n\n * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n * Demonstrated experience applying HFE principles to Department of Defense programs\n * Experience in fast-paced work environment and ability to work in a team environment\n * Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to segment, program and customer community \n\n\n\nEngineer (T02 Level): \n\n * Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 2 years of related experience with a Bachelors; OR at least 1 Years of relevant experience with a Masters degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n\n\nPrincipal Engineer (T03 Level):\n\n * Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 5 years of related experience with a bachelors; OR at least 3 Years of relevant experience with a master\u2019s degree; OR 1 Year with a PhD degree. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. \n\nThis role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\n#Sentinelsystems\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
