This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nJoin the Production Operations MFG Engineering team for Sentinel and take part in engineering solutions to deploy and deliver a state-of-the-art weapon system to our customer. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge in the fabrication, assembly, system integration, deployment and testing of engineered products. The candidate will be involved in all engineering activities supporting the deployment of critical systems for the Sentinel program. This includes, but is not limited to, working with suppliers to develop a compliant Manufacturing Plan, conducting Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) events, engineering solutions for the deployment and install of products, Bill of Materials creation, developing work and installation instructions, supporting system design, and tool design. The candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, be capable of working a variety of tasks in a proactive manner, can task orient, and communicate effectively with varying levels of Government, NGC, and Supplier personnel.\n\nThis position requires a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge in the fabrication, assembly, system integration, and testing of hardware. The candidate will be involved in assisting other NG sectors and suppliers with developing a Manufacturing Plan, conducting Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), and executing the startup of a new program. The candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, have the ability task orient and communicate effectively with varying levels of Customer, NGC, and Supplier employees and leadership.\n\nThe candidate will provide advanced technological ideas and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to resolve technical questions and ensure compliance and execution to the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Statement of Work (SOW) requirements. Primary responsibilities will include providing technical and administrative leadership and guidance to the various program Integrated Product Team (IPT) cohorts and Suppliers in support of:\n\n\u2022 Production documentation and data\n\n\u2022 Build/Buy\n\n\u2022 Assembly, installation, and work instructions\n\n\u2022 Specialty Tooling design, development, and production in support of field installation activities\n\n\u2022 Team liaison and SME for engineering support during field activities\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Represents the organization as a technical contact, interacts with senior personnel on important technical matters, facilitates inter-team coordination, and reinforces leadership\u2019s vision and goals\n\n\u2022 Develop processes by studying requirements; research, design, modify, and test production/deployment methods and equipment\n\n\u2022 Collaborates with Design Engineering on design to ensure practical manufacturing and fabrication solutions\n\n\u2022 Coordinates with the integration team(s) on day-to-day activities; resolves complex process issues\n\n\u2022 Work with suppliers to develop manufacturing planning for successful preparation and execution of MRAs\n\n\u2022 Research and evaluate commercially available tools and equipment to support deployment activities\n\n\u2022 Investigates root cause of discrepancies and implements corrective actions\n\n\u2022 Troubleshoots existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency\n\n\u2022 Develops and maintains detailed work and install instructions for assigned products/processes\n\n\u2022 Educates/trains operators on new and existing processes\n\n\u2022 Establish and maintain a program project plan and schedule that is aligned with the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)\n\n\u2022 Provide on-site engineering support during field installations\n\n\u2022 Provides advanced technological ideas and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to resolve technical questions and ensure compliance to the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Statement of Work (SOW) requirements\n\n\u2022 Implement Lean practices to continually identify opportunities for improvement\n\nPosition Benefits:\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\\- Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\\- 401k \n\\- Educational Assistance \n\\- Life Insurance \n\\- Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\\- Paid Time Off \n\\- Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\\- Employee Discounts\n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree, with a minimum of 2 years of experience, 0 years with a Masters, 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree\n\n\u2022 Must be a US citizen and have an Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need\n\n\u2022 Experience with Design Reviews, Process Control Documentation, Work Instructions, and Bills of Materials\n\n\u2022 Experience with Mechanical/Electrical Drawings\n\n\u2022 Experience with Siemens NX/CPLM or similar tools and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)\n\n\u2022 Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project)\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
