Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer supporting the SDS Support and Training (S\u0026T) Support Equipment team, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, reviewing designs, and integrating with other NG integrated product teams to ensure adherence to, and implementation of requirements. You will actively participate in design reviews, research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical to being successful in this position. \n\nThe standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience; or Master\u0027s degree with 0 years of experience\n * U.S. Citizen\n * Active Secret clearance at time of application\n * Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)\n * Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar\n * Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.\n * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word\n * Ability to understand and interpret requirements\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Ability to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction\n * Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts\n * Exposure to missiles program requirements \u0026 with propulsion\n * Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX\n * Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM\n * Proficient with GD\u0026T and ASME Y14.5-2009\n\n\n\nSalary range for Roy UT:\n\n$72,100-$108,100\n\nSalary Range for Huntsville AL:\n\n$79,600-$119,400\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $119,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
