With our competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we have the right opportunities to fit your life and launch your career today.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Staff Systems Nuclear Surety Engineer (level 5) to join its team in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.\n\nNorthrop Grumman supports the Air Force\u2019s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.\n\nWhat you will get to do:\n\nA Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer can get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are always protected against peacetime and wartime threats. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided with the opportunity to:\n\n * Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation\n\n * Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system\n\n * Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems\n\n * Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals\n\n * Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems\n\n * Use model-based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design\n\n * Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need\u200b\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in computer science or a computer or software engineering discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience, a Master\u0027s Degree in computer science or an electrical, computer, or software engineering discipline and 10 years of related experience, or a PhD in computer science or an electrical, computer, or software engineering discipline and 8 years of related experience\n\n * 1-3 Years of software development experience\n\n * 3 years of experience with software analyses / test or verification of requirements\n\n * 3 years of experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, C, C++\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * PhD in computer science or electrical, computer, or software engineering discipline\n\n * 3+ Years of software development experience\n\n * 5+ Years of experience leading Software Engineering teams with the ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning\n\n * 5+ Years of experience with software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance\n\n * Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Graduate Certificate\n\n * 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering\n\n * 5 years of experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, C, C++\n\n * 5 years of experience with software analyses/test or verification of requirements\n\n * Active DOD Top Secret Clearance\n\n * Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107)\n\n * Experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program\n\n\n\n\nPosition Benefits\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\n * 401k \n\n * Educational Assistance \n\n * Life Insurance \n\n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\n * Paid Time Off \n\n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\n * Employee Discounts \n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.northropgrumman.com/who-we-are/total-rewards-benefits/\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. \n\nThis role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\n#Sentinelsystems\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
