Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer to join the test design and analysis team as part of the Integration Assembly Test and Checkout (IATC) element of the Command and Launch (C\u0026L) segment. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade level offered will be based on candidate experience.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do\n\nThe selected candidate will join a system integration lab design team planning, designing, and implementing test-specific mechanical and electrical systems and instrumentation. You will use your critical thinking and technical problem-solving skills to design solutions to challenging problems through the development of Product Definition Packages (PDP). Candidate must be able to work independently, handle multiple assignments in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction. Specific roles and duties include:\n\n * Design of cables and wiring harnesses.\n * Design of mounting solutions for electronic components.\n * Design of instrumentation systems for collecting thermal, stress/strain, and current/voltage information from systems under test.\n * Work across disciplines and functional groups to maintain list of measurements and instrumentation requirements.\n * Lab floorplan and interconnect diagram design/maintenance.\n * Some travel may be required to Promontory, UT, Colorado Springs, CO, and/or Vandenberg SFB, CA.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nThis requisition may be filled at either the Electrical Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Electrical Engineer level (T-03).\n\nElectrical Engineer: \n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree with 2 years of experience or Master\u0027s degree with 0 years of experience; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\n * 2+ years of experience using CAD design tools (i.e. NX, CATIA, Capital, etc.).\n * 2+ years of cable/harness design experience, especially following military, Northrop Grumman, and or aviation standards.\n * 2+ years of experience with electro-mechanical or instrumentation system development and design.\n\n\n\nPrincipal Electrical Engineer:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree with 5 years of experience; or Master\u0027s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\n * 5+ years of experience using CAD design tools (i.e. NX, CATIA, Capital, etc.).\n * 5+ years of cable/harness design experience, especially following military, Northrop Grumman, and or aviation standards.\n * 5+ years of experience with electro-mechanical or instrumentation system development and design.\n\n\n\nRequired for Both Levels:\n\n * Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.\n * Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.\n * Ability to communicate effectively with customer counterparts and other engineering disciplines.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Electrical Engineering degree or similar\n * Has been previously approved for Special Access Program (SAP)\n * Experience in ICBMs or Aerospace programs\n * Experience in creating a PDP or PDP-like PLM product\n * Experience with NX and Teamcenter or similar CAD program\n * Experience with Siemens Capital (AKA Mentor Capital) or similar E-CAD program\n * Experience with Cameo and/or DOORS\n * Experience with Scrum, Agile, and Model Based Systems Engineering\n * Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner\n * Experience in leading/supporting a development engineering team\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n * 401k \n * Educational Assistance \n * Life Insurance \n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n * Paid Time Off \n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n * Employee Discounts \n\n\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\n#Sentinelintandtest\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
