This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\n * Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts)\n\n * Understand principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.)\n\n * Knowledge of manufacturing flows and how they interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain\n\n * Ability to create Shop Operation Plans for production units and track daily shop floor performance.\n\n * Ability to create Recovery Schedules for the production floor.\n\n * Understand labor standard development and work measurement. Create standard hour content for new scope.\n\n * Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities.\n\n * Work with functional team to understand scheduling requirements at implementation sites\n\n * Ability to create detailed manufacturing waterfall schedules with setbacks to independent demands\n\n * Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)\n\n * Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts\n\n * Understand principals of cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)\n\n * Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers\n\n * Engage and collaborate with various product teams and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements\n\n * Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution\n\n * Utilize your strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds\n\n * Ability to coordinate with larger teams at different site locations\n\n * Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership\n\n\n\n\nPosition Benefits:\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\\- Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\\- 401k \n\\- Educational Assistance \n\\- Life Insurance \n\\- Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\\- Paid Time Off \n\\- Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\\- Employee Discounts\n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications:\n\n * Principal Industrial Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master\u0027s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD with 1 years of relevant experience.\n\n * Sr Principal Industrial Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree with 8 years of relevant experience; Master\u0027s degree with 6 years of relevant experience; PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.\n\n\n\n\nRequired for Both Levels:\n\n * Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time\n\n * Have a working knowledge and understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts)\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio\n\n\n\n\nThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Industrial Engineering\n\n * Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry\n\n * Experience working in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) phase of a program\n\n * Experience working in a Production environment and on a Shop Floor\n\n * Knowledge of SAP, MES, AutoCad, and FlexSim (or other discrete simulation programs) tools and concepts\n\n * Ability to create and automate Industrial Engineering performance metrics\n\n * Experience with Project Management and manufacturing schedules\n\n * Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, and Visio\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
