The selected candidate will balance 80% technical responsibilities and 20% functional manager responsibilities and may include Control Account Management and Risk Management duties.\n\nIn this leadership position, the selected candidate will embody Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors and should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels, including executive leadership. The candidate will be comfortable setting a vision and turning it into reality through predictable performance and strategic thinking to ensure smooth and innovative ways of operating.\n\nWhat you\u2019ll get to do:\n\n * Lead Airworthiness Program Certification efforts.\n * Support internal and external customer and stakeholder meetings.\n * Guide the evolution of the Sentinel Program Certification process.\n * Establish key initiatives in support of the organization\u2019s strategic and tactical plans.\n * Collaborate with peers and other leaders for resource planning and staffing activities.\n * Assess current and future staffing needs; work with team leads to address those needs.\n * Coach, support, train, and motivate team members to ensure a high level of performance.\n * Support staffing activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.\n * Provide subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, and performance counseling.\n * Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support and achieve key mission priorities Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.\n * Establish personal, program, and functional goals as well as conduct performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.\n * Enable mission focused technical changes and updates as iteration occurs. Adjust technical and program direction as discovery occurs and communicate updated plan.\n * Closely coordinate and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), USAF and USN Program Offices, executive leadership, Office of Chief Engineers (OCE), and IWO partners.\n * Manage the development and execution of the MMIII and Sentinel Secondary Launch Capability (SLC) Airworthiness efforts. Additional platforms to support airworthiness certification include helicopters, at a minimum.\n * Support the SLP-A Program Management Team by ensuring Systems Engineering activities/needs/concerns are coordinated and addressed. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience, or a master\u2019s degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.\n\n\n * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need- ICBM experience\n * 1+ year of experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and/or Work Package Lead (WPL).\n * 1+ year of Program and/or Project management experience, managing multidisciplinary teams through complex engineering problems.\n * 1+ year of experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in Cross-Functional Team including DoD Customers (USAF/USN).\n\n\n\nThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:\n\n * Special Program Access.\n\n\n * Master\u0027s Degree in STEM.\n * NG CAM/EV Certification.\n * Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.\n * Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent efforts.\n * Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.\n * Experience in people and technical leadership roles.\n * Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management.\n * Experience in Integrated Functional Capability Processes.\n * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\n * Experience working with DoD government/military personnel.\n * Prior experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel and/or MMIII programs.\n * Experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic, and/or technical capacity.\n * Excellent verbal and written communications skills to enable effective presentation at all levels of leadership.\n * Experience defining systems behavior referencing airframe certification requirements.\n * Experience working with aerospace electronic systems, communication systems, and/or payloads.\n * Experience conducting reviews of supplier documentation (e.g., technical evaluations of proposals, acceptance test procedures, cost and schedule reports, software version description documents).\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
