Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman\u2019s Defense Systems sector is looking for a Supplier Management Team (SMT) Senior Principal Systems Engineer on the Delta Flight Test Vehicle (DFTV) within Advanced Equipment Subcontract with Lockheed Martin for the Sentinel Program, located at the Strategic Deterrence Division (SDS) headquarters in Roy, UT. \n\n \nPrimary job responsibilities include participation and leading technical tag ups, support of testing and review / approvals of test reports and procedures and working within the team to align with customer requirements that flow to the subcontract. To support this role, the Principal Systems Engineer will: \n\n * Complete tasking with minimum oversight.\n\n * Understand and apply system requirements.\n\n * Mentor lower level Engineers.\n\n * Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems.\n\n * Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.\n\n * Create technical reports and present technical information\n\n * Requirements coordination with systems engineers, specialty teams, and customer.\n\n * Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis.\n\n * Support all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.\n\n * Review customer deliverables, testing, and requirements verification. \n\n * Bring technical information to boards including PERB, AERB and TRB (as applicable) for all variances, technical direction to supplier, etc.\n\n * Support pre-ship reviews and coordination with ILS group.\n\n * Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.\n\n * Assistance in planning and scheduling activities.\n\n * Interface with AF customer and Subcontractor.\n\n\n\n\n \nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, 6 years with a master\u2019s degree.\n\n * Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).\n\n * 5 years minimum experience in Requirements Verification and tools such as DOORS.\n\n * 3 years experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as Cameo\n\n * 5 years experience in review/approval of test plans/procedures and test reports.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n\n * Prior Supplier Management Experience on a Program in the Development phase.\n\n * Technical evaluations of supplier proposals \u0026 subsequent contract negotiations.\n\n * Experience in creating and monitoring technical risks and opportunities.\n\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\n * 401k \n\n * Educational Assistance \n\n * Life Insurance \n\n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\n * Paid Time Off \n\n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\n * Employee Discounts \n\n\n\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\n#Sentinelsystems\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
