Job Description - Sentinel - Sr Principal Financial Analyst - 17875
Supports Monthly/Quarterly Financial Planning processes, including financial forecasting, reporting and analysis with an emphasis on accuracy and predictability Supports development of consolidated programs Long Range Strategic Plans (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) Works with the program business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics and to support the management & reporting requirements for the program to Division Supports Division Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Investment forecasting and analysis Supports review, analysis, and management of invoicing and collections, specifically Treasury Forecast Support the development of presentations for Division and Sector leadership Supports initiatives and ad hoc requests from Division and Sector leadership Interface with program business management teams and Division leadership Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Business Administration, Finance, or accounting, financial analysis, or industry related fields. Master's Degree with 6 Years Business Administration, Finance, or accounting, financial analysis, or industry related fields. Four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint Experience with IBM Cognos and Planning Analytics Experience with ERP Systems (SAP / S4) and Analysis for Office Experience with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) processes Experience with monthly planning and forecasting Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail Data and financial analysis skills, including use and understanding of spreadsheets Prior experience with Northrop Grumman financial planning, reporting and analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions Advanced Microsoft Office experience including MS Excel (e.g., INDEXMATCH, Pivot tables) and MS PowerPoint skills
