Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Strategic Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Products. This position will be with our Payloads IPT of the Sentinel Program in the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector located in Roy, UT.\n\nThe successful applicant will be able to:\n\n * Manage technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems.\n * Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications.\n * Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures.\n * Perform Verification Planning in DOORS.\n * Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.\n * Support team members in interfacing with subcontractors regarding subcontractor requirements, interface, and verifications development.\n * Review contractor SDRLs. Create CDRL content from contractor SDRLs when needed.\n * Interface with other IPTs to develop interface requirements and ConOps.\n * Interface with USAF customer.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * 8 Years with a STEM Bachelors degree; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance\n * Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance\n * 5 years systems engineering experience including requirements decomposition/allocation and requirements verification planning. \n * 5 years of direct experience with DOORS and specification authoring with verification methodology\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with ICBM caliber Penetration Aids/ Countermeasures\n * Experience with nuclear weapons\n * INCOSE or equivalent certification\n * Experience with threat modeling and requirements decomposition based on threat modeling\n * Direct experience with CAMEO as an MBSE tool\n * 5 years of direct experience with MBSE concepts and methodology for both functional and physical architecture viewpoints\n * Experience with Requirements verification activity including test and analysis\n * Familiarity with Sentinel Systems engineering PROPs\n * Familiarity with Sentinel AVE Interface documents\n * Demonstrated ability to lead a system engineering team through product development\n * Knowledge of EVMS principles and practices and direct experience with EMVS\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n * 401k \n * Educational Assistance \n * Life Insurance \n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n * Paid Time Off \n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n * Employee Discounts \n\n\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\n#Sentinelsystems\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
