Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Command Systems - Systems Engineering Architect Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel Program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nWhat You Will Get To Do:\n\nAs the Systems Engineering Architect Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 systems engineers across multiple domains and disciplines. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented, able to work collaboratively with multiple remote teams, and have shown success in driving execution in past roles.\n\nSpecific duties to include, but not limited to the following:\n\n\u2022 Drive architecture design documentation, analyses, and trade studies to inform lower-level system decomposition and design\n\n\u2022 Lead a team of architects to prioritize risks/opportunities in the system architecture to design closure through documentation\n\n\u2022 Coordinate and support architect support across multiple working groups and customer bases to ensure the Command System design is communicated and meets customer requirements\n\n\u2022 Support the Operating Unit programmatic execution to include program integration within the Business Unit, Suppliers, Customers and other Stakeholders as necessary.\n\n\u2022 Assemble and lead cross functional teams to develop value stream integration and process development, integrating across Business Units (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Test, Software).\n\n\u2022 Ensure program schedules and plans are aligned and architecture decisions are established in support of development for major program milestones\n\n\u2022 Requirements analysis, review and document source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and develop system architecture\n\n\u2022 Interface with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers and specialty engineers to capture Sentinel Node structure and behavior across value stream artifacts\n\n\u2022 Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams to drive coherence with the prime baseline\n\nThe selected candidate will also be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or master\u2019s degree with 4 years of related experience\n\n\u2022 US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years and Active Sentinel special access clearance (PAR).\n\n\u2022 Experience as an EVMS Control Account Manager (CAM)\n\n\u2022 Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and using MBSE to decompose and define system/product functionality\n\n\u2022 Experience in evaluating/writing requirements, leading small architecture teams, decomposing functionality in CAMEO.\n\n\u2022 Experience using DOORS to manage requirements and specification baselines\n\n\u2022 Experience with task management tools (preferably JIRA) and EVMS\n\n\u2022 Interface with program and customer personnel\n\n\u2022 Experience with developing system/LRU level architectures and interfaces.\n\nThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:\n\n\u2022 Familiar with ground systems and driving command and control architecture development\n\n\u2022 Proven leader, problem solver, strong work ethic, excellent communications and interpersonal skills for close work with teammates, stakeholders and customers.\n\n\u2022 Strong technical leadership and experience managing a small team\n\n\u2022 Familiarity with Northrop Grumman build execution, processes, procedures, tools and metric\n\n\u2022 Experience with complex system development on large programs.\n\n\u2022 MBSE experience (2+ years).\n\n\u2022 2 + years of experience managing people.\n\n\u2022 Strong written and oral communications skills\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
