Server

Summary: Sell and serve food and drinks in a professional manner.  Enhance the customer experience according to RSR hospitality Standards 

Essential Functions:

1. Must be able to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test. 
2. Serve a set number of tables, as determined by management. 
3. Complete knowledge of RSR Restaurant’s food and beverage preparation. 
4. Ability to sell alcohol and food items. 
5. Able to use a computer  
6. Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner. 
7. Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant. 
8. Clear and reset tables. 
9. Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age. 
10. If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guests behavior, count number of drinks served, and if you feel they should not drive, offer a taxi. Don’t hesitate to ask a manager to intervene. 
11. Ensure guest’s complete satisfaction and strive to exceed guest’s expectations. 
12. Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential. 
13. Other duties as directed 

 Work Environment: This job operates in a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant environment. The individual should be comfortable working in a busy and loud environment and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time. The individual may be exposed to temperature extremes, grease, food, noise, appliances, and cleaning agents. Hazards include the potential for slipping, tripping, falling, cuts, scrapes, muscle strains and burns, and are present in the kitchen and restaurant. The individual should also be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time  

Experience:  

3 years of experience in a similar position 

Technical Skills and Knowledge of Job: 

• Basic mathematical skills with the ability to make change  
• Must be able to read and write 
• Computer proficiency  
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures 
• When applicable, must have licenses, certifications, or registrations according to State requirements 
• State health and alcohol compliance cards (if applicable) 

Competency: 

• Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Multi-tasking and able to move in a fast-paced environment
