Domenico Winery + Osteria is looking for experienced, hospitality-driven Servers to join our team in San Carlos.

We’re a family-owned winery and Osteria built around something pretty simple: great food, great wine, and making people feel genuinely welcome.

Our Servers are a huge part of bringing that experience to life.

We’re looking for people who know that great service is more than taking an order and dropping a check. It’s reading the table, knowing the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, anticipating what a guest needs, and working together to create an experience that feels effortless.

What You’ll Do

As a Server at Domenico, you’ll guide guests through the complete Osteria experience—from that first welcome to the last sip of wine.

You’ll:

• Welcome guests and create a warm, engaging experience throughout their visit


• Guide guests confidently through our food and wine menus


• Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences


• Learn our dishes, ingredients, preparation methods, and wine offerings


• Suggest wines and pairings that complement the guest’s meal


• Accurately take and manage food and beverage orders using Toast POS


• Maintain awareness of your entire section and anticipate guest needs


• Communicate clearly with the culinary, wine, and front-of-house teams


• Properly course meals and help maintain the flow and timing of service


• Present checks and accurately process payments


• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables throughout service


• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work


• Restock and maintain service areas throughout the shift


• Support fellow Servers, Winetenders, Hosts, Bussers, and other team members whenever needed


• Help create the kind of experience that turns first-time guests into regulars

Who We’re Looking For

Experience matters, but hospitality comes first.

We’re looking for Servers who are confident without being scripted, attentive without hovering, and able to have a little fun while still delivering polished service.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Previous restaurant serving experience


• A genuine passion for food, wine, and hospitality


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• The ability to confidently describe dishes and make recommendations


• Excellent attention to detail


• Strong organization and time-management skills


• The ability to prioritize and move with purpose during busy services


• A positive attitude when the restaurant gets busy


• The ability to recognize and resolve guest concerns professionally


• A team-first mentality and willingness to jump in wherever needed


• Curiosity and a desire to continue learning about food and wine

Previous experience with wine service is a plus, but we’re happy to help the right hospitality professional continue developing their wine knowledge.

Experience with Toast POS is also a plus.

Requirements

• Previous serving experience preferred


• California Food Handler Card


• California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification


• Must meet California requirements for serving alcoholic beverages


• Ability to work a flexible restaurant schedule, including evenings and weekends


• Availability Wednesday through Sunday


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• Black pants and non-slip shoes required


• Domenico uniform shirt and apron provided
