About the Role:
At Nick’s, our servers are at the heart of the guest experience. You’ll create memorable moments for every guest by providing warm, attentive, and efficient service, making sure everyone who dines with us feels welcome, comfortable, and valued.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine greeting.
• Set up your section for success, including tables, napkins, utensils, condiments, and side work.
• Know our menu inside and out, including specials, preparation details, and product availability.
• Guide guests through the menu and drink selections, answer questions, and share special requests with the expo team.
• Deliver food and drinks, offer desserts and after-dinner drinks, clear courses, and keep glasses full throughout the meal.
• Open and pour wine tableside with confidence.
• Accurately process guest payments.
• Help keep the restaurant clean and guest-ready.
• Be a great teammate by helping Server Assistants, Greeters, Stewards, and Managers whenever needed, filling in for absent team members, and supporting special events.
• Take direction from management and expediters.
• Follow our company policies, procedures, and grooming and appearance standards.
• Show up on time and ready for every shift with a positive attitude, proper uniform, server book, and flashlight.
• Stay flexible when schedules change based on the restaurant’s needs.

 What You’ll Bring:

• Prior upscale casual restaurant experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English
• California Food Handler Card (within 30 days of hire)
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (within 60 days of hire)
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol

 Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; walk, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods; occasionally sit and twist; grasp and handle items with hands; and work shifts of 8–10 hours.
