Server / Bartender

Description

The EVEN Hotel is looking for a Server/Bartender.  Shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 4:30pm - 10:30pm.  Must be fun-loving, and energetic!  $16.00 per hour plus gratuity. 

Job Description: 

• Prepare beverage items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis, including requisitioning and stocking liquor, paper products, condiments and produce based on daily projections.
• Maintain stock. Cut and store all fresh fruit/vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily.
• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Input all orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
• Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank. 
• Daily cleaning of dining area and prep area including guest dining tables and kitchen area.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have the ability to communicate in English.

Self-starting personality with an even disposition.

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers.

Can communicate well with guests.

Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
