Job Description - Service Advisor

Description of the Role:


We are currently seeking a Service Advisor to join our team at Edwards Chevrolet, located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and managing the daily operations of our service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their automotive service needs, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience for all customers.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist customers in scheduling service appointments and address any inquiries or concerns

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and accurately diagnose service and repair needs

  • Provide detailed estimates for repair costs and obtain customer approval

  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of services

  • Maintain accurate records of service history and update customer profiles

  • Handle customer complaints or escalated issues and provide satisfactory resolutions


Requirements:



  • Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and handle high-volume customer inquiries

  • Proficiency in automotive software and tools

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
