Job Description - Service Advisor



BLURB AND BENEFITS

 

Responsibilities



  • Greet customers promptly and courteously in the service drive.



  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document their needs.



  • Explain vehicle issues, recommended services, and repair options in understandable terms.



  • Maintain communication with customers regarding repair status, estimates, and completion times.



  • Ensure a positive customer experience from write-up to delivery.



  • Obtain necessary approvals for repairs and costs.



  • Review completed work and ensure repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards.



  • Close repair orders efficiently and process payment



  • Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.



  • Coordinate with parts department for availability and timely delivery of parts.



  • Work with the service manager to prioritize workload and meet productivity goals.



  • Recommend maintenance services and repairs based on vehicle condition and manufacturer schedules.



  • Up sell additional products or services that benefit vehicle safety, performance, or longevity.



  • Meet or exceed service sales and CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) targets.



  • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records in the DMS.



  • Follow all manufacturer and dealership policies regarding warranty claims and documentation.
