Job Description - Service Advisor


Olson Chevrolet of Hutchinson is seeking motivated and positive individual for its Service Advisor team. The individual must have high energy with a professional attitude, strong communication skills, good work ethic and the ability to multi-task.



Job Overview:
As a first contact for Olson, the service advisor is expected to greet customers, be somewhat knowledgeable in various types of vehicles, and manage scheduling of services. The service advisor is also responsible for adequate scheduling and ensuring each customer’s needs are met.


 


Responsibilities and Duties




    • Welcome customers and serve as the primary contact for all service needs

    • Communicate repair recommendations, maintenance schedules, and service options clearly

    • Prepare accurate detailed repair orders and maintain detailed customer records

    • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely, efficient workflow

    • Provide regular updates to customers throughout their service visit

    • Facilitate warranty claims and ensure proper documentation

    • Deliver a customer-first experience with professionalism and transparency

    • Overseeing and managing the service center’s scheduling and workflow

    • Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up

    • Must be a team player

    Experience:



    • Previous experience at a dealership is a plus

    • Ability to identify the problem quickly

    • Knowledge of automobile mechanicals

    • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

    • 3 or more years of experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

    • Very energetic personality

    • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

    • Personal and professional integrity

    • Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs

    • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

    • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Positive, friendly attitude
