Service Advisor

As a Service Advisor at Volkswagen - Tom Wood VW, Indy, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department. You will assist customers by understanding their vehicle service needs, providing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring excellent communication throughout the service process to deliver an exceptional ownership experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously, establishing a positive relationship and understanding their service requirements.


• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.


• Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs.


• Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approvals before work begins.


• Coordinate with technicians and service managers to ensure timely and quality vehicle repairs.


• Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.


• Maintain accurate records of services and communicate any changes or additional work to customers promptly.


• Promote service specials, extended warranties, and other company offerings to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive service advising or a similar customer-facing role preferred.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.


• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced automotive service environment.


• Basic knowledge of automotive terminology and repair processes is a plus.


• Proficiency with computer systems and software for managing service orders.
