DME company based in NC is seeking an individual to work as a Medical Equipment Service Technician in our Hoover, AL facility. This position involves delivering, picking up and conducting service calls for home medical equipment. Deliveries are typically made at patient’s homes, nursing homes, and hospital facilities. Duties also include full responsibility for maintaining and operating the service center.

Detailed position description:

· Schedule and perform delivery and pick up of medical equipment at patients’ homes, hospitals, or other clinical environments.

· On site repair of broken equipment as needed

· Refurbishing worn equipment as needed

· Maintain service center equipment in patient ready condition at all times

· Coordinate weekly inventory audits and inform corporate service coordinator of needed inventory

· Ensure that all service vehicles are maintained appropriately

· Perform any other task assigned by the manager

Requirements

Candidates should possess these key characteristics:

· Intermediate knowledge of electronics and mechanics

· Customer service oriented and willingness to work with patients in their homes.

· Ability to meet and communicate with patients.

· Ability to learn equipment and instruct patients.

· Ability to lift up to 80 pounds

· Attention to paperwork detail.

· Computer literate Microsoft Word and Excel

· Current driver’s license and clean driving record is required
