Service and Parts Consultant/Assistant Service Advisor Parts Counterperson

Friendly Acura of Middletown is looking to fill a full time position for a Service and Parts department assistant. This candidate will fluctuate between service and parts on a daily basis in the capacity of service advisor, parts counter person 

Job Description:

• Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service in person and by answering phones


• Serve as support to the Service Advisors and parts department team


• Open and close new and used car internal repair orders


• Provide quotes to sales department for reconditioning of used cars


• Prioritize required services


• Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.


• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.


• Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.


• Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.


• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to answer phones and coordinate service area


• Must be available to work on Saturdays


• Previous automotive/dealership service experience highly preferred


• Strong customer service skills needed


• Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors


• Problem solver


• Must be computer friendly


• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Valid Driver’s License 


• Professional appearance required
