Job Description - Service Center Accounting Clerk

Description

We are seeking a Service Center Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team as a liaison between stores and the finance function. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong customer service skills, understand Excel and NetSuite, and have a background in multi-location retail sales, daily deposits, and invoice review.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as liaison between accounting and your assigned stores. This includes coaching store personnel to follow newly developed procedures, as necessary.
  • Review and post to Net Suite daily deposit transactions. Must verify that the amount rung up in the POS system reconciles to the amount we were paid for all types of payments, including cash, checks, credit cards, and various financing methods.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy of vendor invoices for your assigned stores. This includes verifying such critical information as vendor name, invoice information, and GL expense coding.
  • Ensure that proper documentation is attached to all financial transactions.
  • Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies or errors in the bookkeeping information. Work with store managers to rectify errors.

Requirements

  

Requirements: 

  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in retail or auto service environments.
  • Familiarity      with Point-of-Sale systems and NetSuite
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve bookkeeping-related issues efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with retail store managers to support financial accuracy.

  • This position operates in an office environment and will be located on-site at our Denver office.
